💙💛
Sometimes the best partnerships begin in the most unexpected ways. 💚
A few months ago, I received a call from Akerman LLP in downtown Jacksonville letting me know that The Giving Closet Project had been selected as a beneficiary of their 2026 Give Back Campaign.
I was incredibly grateful but what I loved most was that they didn’t just want to write a check. They invited me to their office to meet their team, share the story of The Giving Closet Project, and help their employees understand more about our mission. That afternoon was filled with conversation and connection.
But I had to ask…How did Akerman even hear about us?
Turns out, one of their employees has a sister who works at Englewood Elementary, one of the high-needs schools we support right here in Jacksonville. Englewood Elementary was the voice that opened up this opportunity for us. ❤️
This was such a beautiful reminder that you never know who is watching the work, sharing the mission, or telling someone else about the impact being made. That connection at one school made its way to an office in downtown Jacksonville and now an entire team of people is learning about clothing insecurity and helping us do something about it.
Thank you, Akerman LLP for choosing The Giving Closet Project, for taking the time to learn about our mission, and for showing us that giving back can be so much more than writing a check. We are excited to have you volunteer with us soon, and look forward to connecting with your Palm Beach office too!
This is how community happens.
One connection. One conversation. One person sharing the mission. 💚
