Honored to Host Senator Rick Scott! 🇺🇸
B’chasdei Hashem, Torah Academy of Jacksonville was honored to welcome Senator Rick Scott, former Governor of Florida, to our school!
Our preschoolers presented Senator Scott with a big thank you card for all he’s done to advocate for School Choice and security funding. He then visited our middle school Civics class and our high school Government class for an engaging Q&A session.
It was a great experience for our students to meet and learn from Senator Scott firsthand!
Special thanks to Rabbi Yaakov Fisch for bringing this incredible opportunity to us and to Mrs. Major for her tireless work teaching civics and government to our students this year.

First Grade Celebrates Lag BaOmer! 🌈🔥
B’chasdei Hashem, our first grade class created beautiful artwork today about Lag BaOmer!
Students learned about Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and the special significance of this day—how during his lifetime there wasn’t a rainbow, which is why we shoot bows and arrows on Lag BaOmer. They also learned about his Torah, the bonfires we light, and how we gather together to celebrate ahavas Yisroel.
Each student prepared their own artwork showing what Lag BaOmer means to them. We’re so proud of their creativity and learning!

An Unforgettable Journey of Chessed and Connection! 🇵🇷💙
B’chasdei Hashem, our Torah Academy High School girls just returned from an incredible 4-day trip to Puerto Rico, coordinated with OU Relief Missions!
Our students visited a Puerto Rico elementary school—the only school in the city serving autistic students—where they played sports and games during recess and built meaningful connections over two days. The girls made such a positive impact that the children wrote a “Thank you” letter and the principal asked when they would return!
Beyond the chessed, the girls experienced the absolute wonders of Hashem’s creation—bioluminescence during a nighttime kayak adventure, breathtaking mountain and rainforest views during a UTV drive, and a stunning sunrise swim at the beach.
Most importantly, the girls built long-lasting memories together through giving to others and enjoying fun-filled, jam-packed days. Thank you to Mrs. Shayna Uhr and Mrs. Tzippy Zaguri for chaperoning and running this amazing trip!
