We're grateful to welcome Chip Yant back to Star V for another Student Engagement Series session!

Chip shared his path from tech student to CIO and kept it real about what actually moves the needle early on: build reps (yes, home labs count!), take opportunities that stretch you, and stay well-rounded as your responsibilities grow. He also gave students a clear lens on career direction—when it makes sense to stay deeply technical, when leadership might fit, and why learning to translate between "tech speak" and "business needs" is a career accelerator.

Yesterday one of our students from 2025 came back to speak to our students in Florida. Navy veteran and now Chenega Corporation System Analyst Benjamin Zuares spoke to our current students about his transition into the IT world. Star V Learning Centers has reserved a place for Benjamin on our student Mt Rushmore as he’s the only student in our history that passed 2 certification exams on the same day! Thanks for coming back and speaking Benjamin!

A big thank you to Ring Power for hosting our students at their facility in NE Florida. It was a fantastic learning experience as they experienced first hand how IT supports the day to day operations of a company. We are excited to move forward in the coming weeks and months with the internship opportunities that will deepen our partnership! Thank you!

This week our team led by Director of Career Services T Dixon hosted a Future in Tech Career and Hiring event at our Colorado location. A big thanks to all of our business community partners that came out with special thanks to the Colorado Dept of Labor, Mt Carmel Veterans Center and Fort Carson transition for stopping by our campus!
