Thank you to our Community Security Director, Alex Silverstein, for organizing an important training on navigating online safety for our middle school students and parents! We’re grateful he brought in representatives from the local FBI to lead the session, keeping our kids safe online truly takes a village. 💙

From Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to balancing letters on a tree, our kindergarteners turned storytime into hands-on learning as they practiced balance and problem-solving!

Off to a strong start, third grade scientists! Students have kicked off their life science unit by exploring biomes from around the world and learning how animals adapt to survive in their environment. Then they got creative, designing their own animal with adaptations suited to the biome of their choice. Way to go, third grade! 🔬🌎

Mrs. Gutterman has been bringing creativity and energy to the art room at Martin J. Gottlieb Day School for 18 years. She works with students across all grades and also teaches art to our PK4 students at Laurie Preschool helping young artists explore materials like paint, clay, wood, and more as they turn their ideas into unique creations.

She loves watching her students grow as artists and truly believes she has the best job, getting to make art with kids every day. Mrs. Gutterman is also a proud school parent whose two children are alumni of Martin J. Gottlieb Day School.

We are so grateful for the creativity and joy Mrs. Gutterman brings to our classrooms! 🎨💙

Rosh Chodesh Elul! ✨

Today our students gathered for a special Rosh Chodesh service led by several of our eighth graders, including the special Hallel prayers sung on Rosh Chodesh. A few of our sixth graders then read from the Torah, and finally, our whole school came together to hear the first shofar blast of the year!

What a meaningful way to welcome the month of Elul and prepare for the High Holidays. Shabbat Shalom! 💙

Our first day back is officially in the books! From big smiles at lunch to our kindergarten Kehilah ceremony, today was full of joy, new friendships and lots of excitement.

A huge welcome to all of our returning students and a very warm welcome to our newest kindergarteners as they officially became part of our school family! 💙

We’re getting ready for a great year at Martin J. Gottlieb Day School and Laurie Preschool

Our teachers have been preparing classrooms and learning together as a team. Day School is focusing on differentiated instruction, and Preschool is introducing Conscious Discipline to support social-emotional growth.

We can’t wait to welcome our students back and start the year! ✏️🍎
