Are you working with children with behavioral challenges and want to be better prepared for the upcoming school year? If you are an educator, day care provider, parent, or anyone working with children, come to the Illinois Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders annual summer conference on August 1, 2025, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Northfield Inn in Springfield Illinois.
This one day conference will cover these important topics:

Understanding Trauma's Impact: Lisa Cipriano will discuss "the impact trauma has on behavior", appealing to those who need to understand and respond to students with trauma histories.
Strategy Seekers: Michelle Laird will provide "so many good strategies", attracting individuals looking for new tools and techniques to apply in their daily work.
Advocates for Positive Discipline: Dr. Elizabeth Hardman will address "the harms of punishment", targeting those interested in shifting towards more positive and effective disciplinary approaches.
Working with Challenging Behaviors: Bev Johns will focus on "working with children with oppositional defiant behaviors", directly addressing a common challenge faced by educators and support staff.
