The Jax Kids Book Club is a free early literacy program for all 4-year olds in Jacksonville. The Clu
Our goal is to encourage families to instill literacy as a core value in the home and increase family awareness of the importance of reading with their children every day. Since its inception in 2004, the Jax Kids Book Club has provided 1,093,596 free books to more than 95,000 4–year-olds throughout the city. As a national model, 19 states and 40 municipalities have consulted with Jacksonville officials to create similar programs that promote early literacy.

If you, or someone you know is in need of Thanksgiving meal assistance, the Mayor's CBCR Program and the New Town Success Zone-Jacksonville are hosting a Thanksgiving meal kit & grocery giveaway tomorrow, Saturday November 20th from 10am to 1pm at 1401 Grunthal St. on the campus of Edward Waters University. There will be entertainment, giveaways, and fun for the whole family.
