This is just a reminder that we will be having the State Writing Test this Wednesday, April 1st, for 4th and 5th grades. Please be sure students are well rested and arrive at school by 9:00am at the latest so they can participate in the test.

If 50% of our families sign up, our school will earn a $500 gift certificate for physical activity and recess equipment to support the health of our school community.

YM SE KHC 2025-2026 WO-32243: Ortega Elementary School - Kids Heart Challenge - American Heart Association The American Heart Association offers programs for the classroom and for the gym to get help kids healthy and performing better in school.

Next week, February 9–13, is Spread the Love Week at Ortega! We hope students will join us in celebrating the Valentine’s Day holiday by participating in fun dress-up days and by “spreading the love” through a daily act of kindness.
