Friday, Sept. 11, 2026
1. Multicultural Club applications and dues need to be turned in TODAY, September 11 to Mr. Alvarez.

2. Key Club applications and $19 for membership dues need to be turned in by Wednesday, September 16, to either Mr. Haney (room 108) or Mrs. Zavalla (in the foreign language hall). Key Club will also have a meeting on Wednesday.

3. 10th and 11th graders who are interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT can sign up with their counselors through September 25. Cost is $18. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The test will take place October 20.

4. Auditions for “Cinderella” have been postponed. More info to follow later.

5. Yearbooks are on sale! Students, you can find gold order forms in posters around campus. You may purchase with cash or check or go online to buy your copy.

6. After school Grad Lab has started. It will be held from 3:50 - 5:50 each week Monday through Wednesday. A late bus will run at 5:50 if it you need it. Plan now to get any failed required credits recovered! Please see your grade level counselor if you have any questions.

7. Seniors, the VFW scholarship applications are now available in the college and career center.

8. Seniors, we will have our Financial Aid Information meeting on Tuesday, September 22 in the JHS cafeteria at 5:30 pm. All seniors and their parent/guardian are encouraged to attend.

9. Louisiana Tech will be in the cafeteria for a lunch and learn visit on Monday, September 21. Please stop by their table to ask questions and get information about the university and majors!

10. Students -- especially seniors -- make sure you are checking your school email and Student Square daily for important information.
