A big thank-you to Half Moon Volunteer Fire Department Inc. for visiting our kindergarten students and teaching them about fire safety! 🚒 The children learned what to do in an emergency, saw firefighters in full gear, climbed through a fire truck, and received a fun bag of goodies. We’re grateful for our community helpers! ❤️👨‍🚒

Mrs. Stein's 2nd graders brought their learning about early Asian civilizations to life! 🧱🏯 As a class, they worked together to build their own digital Great Wall, complete with watch towers and details inspired by stone and brick construction. Then they put on VR headsets and took a virtual trip to see the Great Wall of China—an exciting way to connect classroom learning with a world landmark! 🌏✨

🇺🇸 It’s Constitution Day! 🇺🇸

Mrs. Netznik’s first-grade class at Stateside Elementary School celebrated by creating their very own class constitutions!

The students came up with rules, or “laws,” for their classroom, including being nice and kind, helping others, listening and following directions, being friendly and sharing with others.

After putting their constitutions together, each student signed on the dotted line and rolled up their Constitution into a scroll, just like the real United States Constitution! 📜

A fun way to learn about history and what it means to work together for the good of the class! Great job, Mrs. Netznik’s first graders! 🇺🇸👏
