Cultúrlán embraces this method and takes it even further, beyond the limits of gaming and academia, so that the two blend perfectly into a common studium. The original meaning of the word studium was “zeal or enthusiasm,” and a studens was someone consumed by a love for a given subject — no matter how important it may seem to have been. Culturlan seeks to foster the joy of discovery with elegant and compelling artwork, stories, and games — available across a variety of mediums. Most of the products we produce have more than a thousand years of cultural significance and meaning, and we both invite and encourage you to learn more about what is behind them and the history that they embody. Our focus is on play as a means to explore, connect, and learn; we believe that having fun enhances overall learning and retention, and that by focusing on the development of engaging experiences we can better serve our mission of preserving the wisdom of our past for the benefit of the present.
