Sandalwood Saints Forever

The Sandalwood community mourns the profound loss of Chris Payton‑Jones, a proud Sandalwood Saint whose life exemplified dedication, humility, and service. As a student‑athlete, Chris set the standard through relentless work ethic, respect for others, and unwavering integrity. He carried those values beyond our halls to the collegiate and professional levels, achieving his dream of playing in the NFL—but never losing sight of where he came from.
More than his athletic accomplishments, Chris will be remembered for his heart. He returned home not for recognition, but to give back—mentoring young athletes, supporting students, and inspiring the next generation through his presence, guidance, and example. He showed our Saints what it means to lead with character, to persevere through adversity, and to serve with purpose.

Chris Payton‑Jones leaves behind a legacy that will endure far beyond the field. He was a son, a teammate, a mentor, and a Saint for life. His impact will continue to live on in every student he encouraged, every life he touched, and every dream he inspired.
