Congratulations to the winners of the College of Arts & Sciences' Wall of Expression Art Contest!
Madison Nicholls and Emily Kiker created powerful, original pieces that echo the heart and soul of JU. Their work leaves a lasting mark—an artistic expression of their voices—now proudly displayed in the Dr. Joan Carver Student Resource & Study Center in Gooding 122.

Madison Nicholls chose a Dr. Who poem that represents the interconnectedness of learning about oneself and others. The companion to the poem is an illustration including dolphins (one entering the water as one leaves), the branches of the beautiful, tree-adorned JU campus, and the sparkling waters of the St Johns River.

Emily Kiker chose a visual emblem that we all know and love, the JU “phins up”! This symbol connects our JU community and represents a sense of inclusion, belonging, and connection. “Phins Up” has become JU’s unique way to share a commonality and campus pride.
