Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community

Last night, the Jewish Community Alliance and the First Coast YMCA hosted an important Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community speaker event in recognition of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

The conversation focused on what human trafficking looks like locally and how our community can respond with compassion, education, and action.

Human trafficking is happening in our community, and awareness is one of our strongest tools to stop it.

Join us for an important Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community speaker event next Wednesday, January 14 at 7 PM, presented by the Jewish Community Alliance and the First Coast YMCA, in recognition of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

Last night, we experienced an evening of culture, community, and cuisine as we honored Ethiopian Jews!

Chef Beejhy Barhany shared her personal story and lead a live cooking demonstration from her cookbook, Gursha, which gave us a taste of authentic Ethiopian flavors. This Together Against Hate event was a chance to connect, learn, and enjoy great food!

Last night’s event brought our community together for an honest, meaningful conversation with Rabbi Raphael Shore. Thank you to everyone who joined us at Riverside Presbyterian Church to learn, listen, and lean into understanding antisemitism and its impact today.
