Performance Anxiety Tips:
๐Get adequate sleep
๐ปBe prepared: practice, practice, practice.
๐Limit caffeine and sugar intake the day of the performance.
๐ปEat a sensible meal a few hours before you are to perform so that you have energy and don't get hungry.
๐Close your eyes and imagine the audience laughing and cheering, and you feeling good.
๐ป Don't focus on what could go wrong. Instead focus on the positive. Visualize your success.
๐Practice controlled breathing, meditation, and other strategies to help you relax. (It is best to practice some type of relaxation technique every day, regardless of whether you have a performance, so that the skill is there for you when you need it.)
๐ปTake a walk, jump up and down, shake out your muscles, or do whatever feels right to ease your feelings
๐Connect with your audience -- smile, make eye contact, and think of them as friends.

Allergy Season is at an all time high!
1. Breathe moist air. Use a humidifier to keep the air throughout your home or office moist. Inhale steam from a bowl of hot water or a hot shower.
2. Rest your voice as much as possible. Avoid talking or singing too loudly or for too long. If you need to speak before large groups, try to use a microphone or megaphone.
3. Drink plenty of fluids (W A T E R) to prevent dehydration (avoid alcohol and caffeine).
4. Moisten your throat. Try sucking on lozenges or chewing a piece of gum.
5. Stop drinking alcohol and smoking, and avoid exposure to smoke. Alcohol and smoke dries your throat and irritates your vocal cords.
6. Avoid clearing your throat. This action irritates your vocal cords.
7. Avoid decongestants. These medications can dry out your throat.
8. Avoid whispering. This puts even more strain on your voice than normal speech does.
9. Gargle warm salt water. Gargle diluted vinegar.
10. Apple Cider Vinegar, Tea with Honey, Slippery Elm Tea, Ginger Root will all be your bestfriend.
๐ฃ๏ธYou canโt say โmy voice is goneโ but drink coffee/alcohol and not get any rest ๐
