Today is the 4th Annual "Sandra Stone Day of Reading" event! 📚

Mrs. Sandra Stone was a well known local educator, who LOVED children and LOVED reading. This day of reading was established to remember her and her lasting impact on our area!

The little of the JSU Child Development Center would lile to thank the following individuals for reading with us today:

Dean Kimberly Gaiters-White (CEPS)
Jax State Provost Christie Shelton
Vice-Provost Dr. Staci Stone
Associate Professor Jenna Ridlen (Biology)
Campus Relations Coordinator Adam Green (UPD)
Mrs. Susan (Community Member/Retired Teacher)
Mrs. Brenda (Community Member/Retired Teacher)

Friday was Pumpkin Party Day in Pre-K2! 🎃

We read Pumpkin Jack and learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin through the seasons. Then our friends added soil and water to our container. Mrs. Amanda carved Jack, added him in the container, and sealed it. Hopefully we have a sprout in spring! Our friends also got the chance to explore the inside of a pumpkin, made their own mini pumpkin pies, and finished off the day with Mrs. Amanda’s pumpkin cake & cheeseballs!
