Today we took class pictures of our AM & PM shifts, and we couldn’t be more proud of these students! These 10th–12th graders are beginning their journey into the health science field, and we are SO excited to see where this year takes them.

You’re looking at future nurses, doctors, therapists, technicians, and so many other healthcare professionals right here!

We are ready for an incredible year of learning, growing, and preparing these students for the future. Let’s make it the best year yet! 🎉

🩺✨ The first two days of Med Prep are officially in the books! ✨🩺

We are SO excited to see everyone and kick off a new school year! We spent the first couple of days playing some teamwork games, getting to know one another, and—of course—having lots of fun along the way!

We are excited about this school year and all the learning, growth, and memories that are ahead. We pray these students enjoy Med Prep as much as we love teaching it.

We took some of our HOSA officers to the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind to help with their Easter egg hunt, and it was the best time!

We had egg hunts, face painting, sensory bins, and even a spoon relay—so many smiles and lots of fun all around. I’m so proud of our students and how they showed up today.

Never too old for an Easter egg hunt… even in Health Science! 🐣🩺

At my students’ request, we switched things up and had a little fun with learning today. We filled eggs with medical terms and definitions, and their challenge was to hunt down all 100 eggs and correctly match each term with its definition.

Don’t worry—there was plenty of candy waiting for them after all their hard work! 🍬

Safe to say, today was a fun day full of learning, laughter, and a little friendly competition!

It’s been a busy week in Health Science! We hosted JSU nursing students for another round of clinical rotations, this time exploring bipolar disorder, and our students did a fantastic job engaging in the simulation and learning experience.

Today we loaded up and headed to the Anniston Fire Station #3 & the Regional Training Center to complete our Fire & Search training for Teen CERT. Students learned about the skills firefighters must have, their training, and what their day-to-day operations look like.

Community partnerships are so important in the health science world, and we are truly blessed with some of the best around. Thank y’all for investing in our students!
