Today was one of those days that reminds you what it’s all about! 🧡

We took our HOSA Officers & Interims to the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind for their Special Olympics, and what a special day it was! Our crew got to help our sweet participants, cheer them on, and celebrate them every step of the way.

We had SO much fun, but we left with so much more than that. We are truly blessed and humbled by this experience, and our hearts are FULL! These are the moments that remind us that healthcare is about so much more than medicine. It’s about compassion, connection, and making a difference in the lives of others.

HOSA kicked off the school year in a BIG way!

Our HOSA officers had a full work day to prep, plan, and get ready for an exciting year of HOSA! Then we officially kicked things off with our first meeting, “Scrub In to HOSA!” 🩺✨

We have so many exciting things planned for this school year, and we can’t wait to see what this group accomplishes!

Our officers and interim officers represent our Health Science Program so well, and we are so proud of them!

Here’s to a great year of leadership, service, learning, and LOTS of HOSA fun!
Let’s make it a year to remember!

What a FUN week in our Health Science Lab! 🩺

We were so excited to welcome the Jax State Nursing students to our lab this week! Our Health Science students had the opportunity to role-play as patients experiencing a mental health crisis while the nursing students worked on their therapeutic communication skills.

It was such a great hands-on learning experience for everyone! Watching our students step into these roles, learn from one another, and put their skills into practice was so much fun.

Lots of learning, lots of teamwork, and lots of future healthcare professionals in the making! We are so thankful for opportunities like this!

We’ve started the school year off STRONG in Health Science! Today, our 11th and 12th grade students had the opportunity to teach our 10th graders how to properly don and doff PPE.

It was such a fun day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and putting those infection control skills into practice! 🦠😷

These are the skills that will help keep our students—and their future patients—safe. We love watching our students learn from one another and grow into the future healthcare professionals they are becoming!
