Hi friends! For this month's Mentor Spotlight we have Amanda!

Amanda is a graduate student from London, UK. She is studying criminal justice and plans to graduate this December! In her free time, she loves to cook, travel to new places and spend time with loved ones. This is her third semester at the Writing Center, and she has enjoyed helping other students develop their writing skills.

Along with consultants, we also have our mentors, and they deserve a spotlight as well! This month we have Dacey!!

Dacey Dunaway is a graduate student studying English literature. She’ll be graduating in May of 2025 with her Master of Arts. She loves creative writing and spending time with her cats. This is her third semester working at the Writing Center. She enjoys working with students and helping them improve their writing skills!

Hey friends!! For our consultant spotlight of the month we got Elizabeth!
Elizabeth is an English major working on finishing up her senior year! She hopes to go to law school after graduating.
She loves to read, watch movies, and hang out with her family in her free time. This is her first semester at the Writing Center and she has really enjoyed helping others improve their writing skills!

Hey everybody! This week our Consultant Spotlight is Waddie McGrew!!

Waddie McGrew, III is a young man from Gilbertown, Alabama. He is a graduate student studying in English with hopes to become an English Second Language teacher outside of the United States. Whenever he has free time, he is usually drumming or creating digital art.

Great News Announcement: A few days before we closed for Winter Break, we received C.A.R.E. certification from the Southeastern Writing Center Association! Only 19 other writing centers in the country have achieved this distinction!

The JSU Writing Center will be formally recognized at the SWCA conference in February in Atlanta, GA. Yay us!
