UNF Sports Performance Staff 2026-2027!

Coach Brian Bert!

Undergraduate: Springfield College- B.S. Applied Exercise Science

Graduate School: Salisbury University- M.S. Applied Health Physiology

Previous institutions worked:
University of Rhode Island
Hofstra University
University of Pittsburgh

Coach Principles/ Philosophy: To provide a wholistic approach to student-athlete development. Looking to enhance overall athletic potential through ground based tri-planar movements using sport-specific, researched based programming methodology.

Why I got into coaching: As a division 3 athlete I spent most my time in the weight room as an undersized football player. As I went through my athletic career I realized to maximize my athletic potential the weight room was a key part of it. Once I saw the impact it had on my career I wanted to pass that on to others to help them achieve their dreams!

Coach Ethan Jenkins!

Undergraduate: Florida A&M University- B.S. Pre-Physical Therapy.

Graduate School: Texas Baptist University- M.S. Kinesiology.

Previous institutions worked:
Illinois State University.

Coach Principles/Philosophy: My coaching philosophy is to build a team unit with one mission in mind, WIN! Through getting bigger, faster, stronger, mobile, and some adversity a culture is built around what we do in the weight room that will transition to the athletes’ field of play.

Why I got into coaching: I got into coaching after my collegiate baseball career. During my time playing, I realized how much of an impact that my strength coach and mentor had on me as an athlete. Making a positive impact on so many student-athlete lives through the weight room became my primary goal!

Coach Daven Eidem!

Undergraduate: University of Nebraska-Lincoln- B.S. Human Development.

Graduate School: University of Oklahoma- M.S. Exercise Physiology

Previous institutions worked:
University of Nebraska-Lincoln
University of Oklahoma

Coaching Principles/Philosophy: At the core of my training philosophy lies a belief in the holistic development of the athlete, where performance, well-being, and longevity are intertwined. The foundation of my philosophy is simple: quality movement

Support UNF Strength & Conditioning 💪

Your gift of any size goes a long way in elevating UNF Strength & Conditioning. Our coaches, student-athletes, and staff truly appreciate your support more than you know. Thank you for being part of UNF Giving Day—every gift makes an impact!

Why Your Support Matters

Your generosity helps provide our student-athletes with the resources they need to train, recover, and compete at the highest level. Creating a safe, competitive, and data-driven environment allows us to put our athletes in the best position to succeed.

This Year’s Initiative

Our goal is to raise $3,000 to bring the OVR system into our program.

OVR will allow us to:
• Track performance metrics in real time
• Provide immediate feedback to athletes
• Monitor progress and trends over time
• Enhance training decisions with objective data

Thank You for Your Support

Your donation helps us continue to grow, innovate, and better serve our student-athletes. The Osprey family, fans, and supporters like you are what make this program special.

Let’s reach our goal together—every dollar counts! 💙
