Let's meet our staff at Kids In Action Childcare, LLC.

Your preschool teacher is Mrs. Kia Dennis. She has over 25 years of childcare experience. She is also the owner and director of Kids In Action Childcare. Mrs. Kia has a degree in business and many certifications in early childcare.

The infant/toddler teacher at Kids In Action Childcare, is Mrs. Shar Dennis. Mrs. Shar is fairly new to early childhood education. She has already completed her training and certifications for childcare.

All staff are First Aid and CPR certified and specialize in autism and special needs learning and care. Mrs. Kia and Mrs. Shar continue their education through specialized programs to better assist the children and families of Kids In Action Childcare.

Kids In Action Childcare is a 5 Star rated, accredited, Gold Seal, large family childcare home in Jacksonville, Florida. We offer your child(ren) a safe, healthy learning environment, to flourish and grow. Our curriculum includes Montessori-like elements, where the children learn and adapt to home-like settings, such as cleaning up after themselves, family-style meals, and folding clothes. We provide them with an environment where letters and words are displayed throughout the classrooms to help them with literacy and vocabulary skills. Welcome to our garden at Kids In Action Childcare 🥦🥬🧄💐

We are proud to announce that we are the first family childcare home to partner with UNF's FIE Family Garden and Engagement Program. This program connects children and families with the adventures of gardening to increase language skills and vocabulary in children. There are lessons and hands-on curriculum that are implemented in the classrooms at Kids In Action Childcare. The children learn about sowing, growing, and harvesting vegetables. They are show how each plant comes from tiny seeds, and grow into something they can enjoy. We include the families in the curriculum and the gardening experience. Through this program, we hope to see an increase in children's language skills and vocabulary.
