ACLS & BLS — AHA Training & Certification

Training becomes more meaningful when healthcare professionals bring their real-world experience into the simulation at HealthForce CPR BLS ACLS PALS AHA Training Center Gainesville, Florida.

With a Respiratory Therapist and nurses working as a team of three, each participant alternated roles throughout the megacode, compressions, airway management, medications, and team leadership.

The goal: minimize interruptions in chest compressions while maintaining timely interventions, effective ventilation, and appropriate medication administration.

Switch roles.
Communicate clearly.
Support one another.
Keep the code moving.

Because during a cardiac arrest, successful resuscitation is never about just one person, it takes a well-coordinated team.

MEGACODE | TEAMWORK IN ACTION

A Nurse and Respiratory Therapist (RT) working together during a megacode, with an experienced ICU nurse taking the lead.

In a cardiac arrest, successful resuscitation requires more than individual clinical skills. It requires a team that understands their roles and communicates effectively.

The team leader coordinates the code, monitors the overall resuscitation, assigns roles, evaluates the rhythm, and ensures appropriate interventions are carried out.

Megacode practice gives healthcare professionals the opportunity to apply their knowledge under pressure while strengthening leadership, communication, and team dynamics.

When everyone knows their role, the code becomes more organized and the focus remains where it belongs: delivering high-quality resuscitation to the patient.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT | Skills You Need to Know Well at Healthforce Training Center USA CPR BLS ACLS PALS Jacksonville, Florida

High-quality CPR requires more than knowing the steps, it requires the ability to perform each component correctly and consistently.

That’s why during BLS training, we practice 2-minute cycles of CPR. This allows participants to demonstrate proper technique while receiving feedback on the quality of their performance.

Key components of high-quality adult CPR include:

Compression rate: 100–120 compressions per minute
Compression depth: At least 2 inches (5 cm), while avoiding excessive depth
↩️ Full chest recoil after every compression
Minimal interruptions in chest compressions
Effective ventilations without excessive ventilation
Early AED use when available

Practicing these skills repeatedly HealthForce CPR BLS ACLS PALS AHA Training Center Gainesville, Florida helps develop proper technique, coordination, and confidence.

Learn the skill.
Practice the skill.
Perform it correctly when it matters most.

MEGACODE: TEAMWORK IN ACTION at Healthforce Training Center USA CPR BLS ACLS PALS Jacksonville, Florida

When the compression rate falls outside the recommended range, the CPR Coach provides immediate feedback to help the compressor maintain 100–120 compressions per minute because high-quality CPR requires continuous monitoring and correction.

In this scenario, team coordination made the difference. The Team Leader, an experienced ICU nurse, effectively organized the code, delegated roles, recognized the rhythm, and directed the appropriate medications during the cardiac arrest simulation.

With an advanced airway in place, ventilation was maintained at 1 breath every 6 seconds while continuous chest compressions were performed without pausing for breaths.

This is why we practice Megacode not just to know the algorithm, but to learn how to communicate, coordinate, and perform as ONE TEAM when every second counts.

Train.
Communicate.
Coordinate.
Save lives.

Resident doctors putting knowledge into action through high-intensity PALS Megacode simulations.

In a pediatric emergency, it’s never about one person, it’s about the TEAM. Clear communication, defined roles, strong leadership, rapid assessment, effective CPR, airway management, medications, and continuous reassessment all work together toward one goal: the best possible outcome for the infant.

Megacode brings it all together, to
think, communicate, act, reassess.

Every team member matters.
Every second matters.
