Sailors from SCSTC Detachment Southeast recently took training off the page and onto the deckplates aboard USS Lake Erie (CG 70) as part of Harpoon Canister Handling Team Training.

Getting hands on in a real shipboard environment, students practiced the safe handling and movement of Harpoon canisters while reinforcing the procedures that matter most when it counts.

Training like this bridges the gap between classroom instruction and real world ex*****on, building confidence, sharpening skills, and strengthening fleet readiness. BZ Lake Erie!

Happy 250th Birthday to the United States Navy! ⚓️🇺🇸

Today, SCSTC DET SE proudly celebrated 250 years of honor, courage, and commitment. This milestone reminds us of the generations of Sailors who have served with dedication and pride, shaping the Navy into the powerful force it is today.

A huge thank you to Chief Costello for going above and beyond by baking an absolutely phenomenal cake — a beautiful display of craftsmanship and Navy spirit (and yes, it tasted as good as it looked!).

Continuing tradition, the ceremonial cake was cut by FCACM King (our “oldest” Sailor by only a few months!) and FCA1 Olson, symbolizing the passing of experience and knowledge from one generation of Sailors to the next.

Fair winds and following seas to all who serve — past, present, and future.

🇺🇸 Honoring the fallen, remembering the brave.
Today we came together for the 9/11 Memorial Command Ruck—a 2.5 mile ruck to Lake Wonderwood Park and back, carrying the weight of 40 # sandbags and 20 # ruck vests as a small tribute to the heavy sacrifice made that day.

We paused for a field presentation and a moment of silence to remember the unsung heroes.
