Our 5th Grade Safety Patrols had an unforgettable time on their Washington, D.C. and Busch Gardens trip led by Mrs. Zona and Mr. Wright!
Throughout the week, students explored several Smithsonian museums, visited many of our nation’s historic monuments and memorials, toured the Capitol Building, walked through Arlington National Cemetery, and viewed priceless documents at the National Archives. We wrapped up the trip with a fun-filled day at Busch Gardens!
We are incredibly proud of our patrols for representing our school so well throughout the trip. A special thank you goes out to our amazing chaperones, dedicated bus driver, knowledgeable tour guide, and our JSO officer for helping make this experience safe, educational, and memorable for all.
What an incredible adventure and a lifetime of memories!

Exciting News from TLAE!
We are thrilled to share that thanks to the incredible support from our school community, we were able to purchase a Book Vending Machine for our school!
This amazing addition was made possible through the funds raised during our Book Fairs. Your support—whether by shopping, volunteering, or spreading the word—has truly made a lasting impact on our school.
Our students will now have a fun and engaging way to access books and celebrate reading in a whole new way!
A special thank you to our media specialist, Mrs. Griffin, for her hard work and for dreaming big for our students—this would not have been possible without her dedication and vision!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Book Fairs and helped make this dream a reality. We couldn’t have done it without you!

For Teacher Appreciation Week, DCPS had graduating seniors write heartfelt letters to teachers who made a lasting impact on their lives called Gratitude in Ink. As part of this celebration, TLAE was honored to welcome the Honorable Melody Bolduc to honor our very own Ms. Griffin with her letter.
In addition, Ms. Hinkle, Ms. Ciarletto, Mr. Frederick, Ms. Underwood, Ms. Mauger, Ms. Smith, Ms. Sunderland, Ms. Gannon, Ms. Jankowski and Ms. Monday all received letters of gratitude and Principal Ehrenberg presented them to each teacher.
To the educators who received these letters—thank you. Your dedication continues to shape futures in meaningful ways. And to our seniors—thank you for taking the time to honor those who helped you along the way.

Celebrating Our Amazing TLAE Green Team!
We are so proud of our TLAE Green Team for their hard work and dedication! With the generous support of Home Depot and our PTA, our students successfully constructed a beautiful vegetable and herb garden right here on campus.
This hands‑on experience connects our students to nature, encourages healthy eating, and fosters teamwork and responsibility—all while learning valuable real‑world skills.
A special thank you to Ms. Chiscon and Ms. Ciarletto for sponsoring and supporting this wonderful team. Your leadership helps our students grow in more ways than one!
