First day of sparring!

Seven of our kids participated in a (yellow) belt promotion ceremony at First Friday @ Kingdom Plaza! To say we are proud of them is a huge understatement. They work hard and it is paying off!

At Thornton Academy of Martial Arts, we are developing future leaders who will absorb what they are being taught and stand tall amongst their peers to show them how to make good decisions at all times. We endeavor to develop their minds, teach them discipline and build them up spiritually, mentally and physically. We know that if we teach them pride and principles, it will show! It will develop a new attitude of self-worth. It’s important that our children know that it doesn’t matter where you come from, but where you’re going. This is our chance to teach them that nothing beats a failure but a try, and that you have to crawl before you walk.
