www.dynasplint.com uses braces to help the most sad and even those with minor joint and leg issues. They were in the human arena and then in 2001 they joined the equine/pets/ etc. to help them. AMAZING results you have to see their results.. none invasive, and great results. They rent the braces because they work for the individual problems that hopefully would not come to your animals again.
I know there were some really tough foals born so knuckled they were on the dorsal wall with the sole facing upward. This picture is one of the more dramatic and took longer 6 and 8 wks but the other angular deformities it is an OMGoodness sad to good

This is a fun anatomy with digital drawings that you can move around. You will need to click the download so you can enjoy moving the tool. WARNING.. just because it comes from a learned educational veterinarian college doesn't make it right. They have the lateral cartilage wrong. They have the digital cushion wrong. Sad...that schools continue to produce false or poorly completed information for veterinarians to learn from.
