Took myself on a walk across the Main Street bridge to clear my thoughts. I’ve been doing at .coffee and it’s been a really revealing program whose weekly lessons are somehow synchronized with what real life is throwing at me brain 🤯 👀 It’s been a difficult season for me lately, all around. But on this cloudy, windy walk, I asked the universe for signs that I’m aligned with my true path - and it provided. So I suppose even on cloudy days, some warmth can be felt ⛅️
I’m really grateful for my city that is beautiful even when it might not seem it, my community for helping me through the challenges, and the strength that’s gotten me this far.
I hope you take a little time for yourself today and intentionally live life instead of just enduring it, 10/10 will do again

Can I just say how absolutely OBSESSED I am with this amazing piece by ?? When told me a piece of me was done, I had to use a very rare Friday off to go to .coffee and see it.
This piece was inspired by a recent performance I did with who put together an amazing Indian ensemble that I had the blessing to be asked to join. The ensemble has been an absolute game changer for me and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity, so I never in my wildest dreams imagined it would also bring me such a beautiful moment captured in such a beautiful way.
Thank you so much Kevin for memorializing such a special moment in time and Steve for building such a wonderful space where art of any and all kind can collaborate and inspire. I truly can’t tell you what it means 🙏🏼
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to such an amazing woman, the incomparable 💖
This was the first time I had the privilege of hearing or performing Erica’s music, the night that dear took in my wayward soul at a gig at . I was blessed to sit with so many amazing women that night, and getting to perform Erica’s originals really felt natural and intuitive - even when going in blind. I’m so grateful for meeting her that night and blessed to know her. She has such tremendous talent & authenticity and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
Speaking of seeing her, I wish that I would have had the foresight to setup my phone before we started facepalm🤦🏻♀️ but please enjoy a bit of the magic we made that I was able to capture when I went live. If you want to catch a glimpse of this vixen, celebrate her, her music, and the release of her debut album on February 6 at ✨

Things I’m good at: playing music 🎶
Things I’m less good at: remembering to post my calendar for the month 🤦🏻♀️
I intended on making a cute post in Canva and hitting it every month this year so I can be more consistent in sharing where I’m playing. It was all new year, new me energy. Sadly, a date on the calendar doesn’t just change old habits and my time has not been my own lately. So in an effort to be accountable but do what my current bandwidth can accommodate, here’s a screen shot from the gig calendar maintained by because Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor is consistency.
It may be 10 days late, and it may not be the most aesthetic. But I will still be consistent this year, and my willingness to show that process is part of it. Cheers to realistic progress 🥂
This Thanksgiving I’m grateful for all the wonderful musicians in my community, like - who was doing the thing tonight at Jamsgiving hosted by , , and .
If you’re not too full after this weekend’s tasty jams, come get some more from all of us and a whole bunch of other fantastic folks at .coffee on December 6 when Indian Ensemble collabs with the incredible - it will be one you’ll be thankful you didn’t miss
Once upon a time, I confused a message from and ended up meeting for the first time. Turns out, she had a gig at and decided to pull together some bad ass female musicians including , .acedera, .bug, and to share their own songs and provide great harmonies. (Honorable mention to behind the bar)
I didn’t know these gals, or their tunes. But I went in with an open mind, ready to see what came out.
During that sound check, I found myself in a sweet little improv on ’s ever classic female anthem “Tyrone” laid against another beast of a tune, “Too Late” by one of the baddest ladies in music to ever exist, Ms. . It felt like a dream, to sit with total strangers and feel so supported that I could just let myself take up space. I tapped into a few cool things in that moment, and I’m super grateful for the opportunity.
Here’s to more empowering gigs in the future that remind me and other former classical musicians that there’s plenty of places to play . Hit the DM’s and I’ll pull up and show you 😉🎶
