Hogan School of Irish Dance Recreational, competitive Irish step dancing taught by a certified teacher in a supportive atmosphere

Established in 2004, The Hogan School of Irish Dance is the only accredited Irish dancing program in North Central Florida, and the premier Irish dancing school in the Greater Gainesville area, serving Gainesville, Ocala, Williston, Jonesville, High Springs, Lake City, and the surrounding areas. Certification in Irish Dance instruction is obtained through an arduous and selective examination process, which guarantees that your teacher has an extensive background in Irish dance, a full mastery of the skill sets, and the ability to teach dancers up to the highest champion level. As a certified school, our students are sanctioned to register in nationally and internationally accredited feiseanna (competitions). While most of our dancers choose to compete, it is not required, and we have many students who enjoy dancing strictly for performances, fitness, and camaraderie. The Hogan School’s reputation for quality dancing ensures that we are first to be called to accompany Celtic music superstars when they are performing locally — The Chieftains, Eileen Ivers, Leahy, Cherish the Ladies, and Danu, to name a few. Of course, we welcome you to observe our classes, talk with parents of current students, and attend our performances to witness firsthand the difference a quality instructor makes!

☘️ BIG NEWS ☘️ Hogan School Friends, Family, and Fans: On August 31st, after 15 years of offering classes, the Hogan School of Irish Dance will be closing its doors in Gainesville, Florida. New adventures are on the horizon for my family as we relocate to France and welcome a little one. A hefty, heartfelt thank you to all of you who have supported our school - it has been a joy to meet and teach so many lovely people over the years. ❤️ Another certified teacher, Myra Watters, will be taking over for me as we make this transition.
