We believe in awakening the wonder through natural experiences and authentic self expression.

Kids at Play is a child-led, place-based learning environment for children ages six weeks through first grade. We focus on each child’s individual journey, rather than reaching a destination — allowing time and space in a living environment that is dynamic, forming, evolving and encourages real-life interactions. We believe children are innately capable and competent, and we honor each child’s uni

We don’t believe in out with the old, in with the new.

At Kids At Play, we believe in evolving.
In reflecting.
In growing forward with intention.

What we’ve built doesn’t get discarded—it gets refined. Kids At Play is a process, shaped by the children, the families, and the educators who show up each day with care and curiosity. Growth here isn’t about starting over; it’s about becoming more aligned with who we are and how we serve.

As we move into this year, we’re looking forward to continued learning, deeper connection, and environments that keep honoring play, trust, and belonging. We’re excited for the growth ahead—not rushed, not forced—but thoughtful and rooted.

Here’s to another year of becoming. 🤍

As we step into a new year, we’re choosing intention over urgency. 🤍

Today, our Kids At Play team took time to pause, reflect, and dream together—creating vision boards rooted in both personal growth and the values that guide how we show up for children every day.

Vision boards aren’t about resolutions or perfection. They’re about focus. When we intentionally place words, images, and affirmations in front of us, our brains begin to notice them more often. What we choose to see becomes what we begin to recognize in our daily lives—moments of patience, curiosity, connection, and play.

The adults who care for your children are doing deep work: aligning who they are with the environments they create. When educators feel grounded, supported, and inspired, children feel it too. It shows up in the way we listen, the space we hold, and the trust we give during play.

This time together reminded us that growth doesn’t have to be rushed. It can be thoughtful. It can be shared. And it can be led by values—both personal and collective.

We’re grateful to step into the new year together, with clarity, purpose, and a whole lot of heart. ✨ #2026

How blessed are we to do life together 🤍

Grateful for moments like these that remind us it’s not just the work we share, but the life in between—connection, joy, and appreciation for one another. Thankful for this team and the way we show up, not just for the kids but for each other. 🎄✨

Our Story

Kids at Play is an innovative childcare center for children ages six weeks through four years of age, including after-school care and camps for school-age children.

In February of 2020 Beaches Academy lovingly and efficiently transitioned ownership from Bonnie Allen to Rachael Wyman. Bonnie owned and operated Beaches Academy for 37 years, and found in Rachael the perfect match of approach and value system to comfortably pass the torch to the next generation of ownership.

At Kids at Play create a place of shared relationships among children, teachers and parents, and a feeling of belonging in a world that is alive, welcoming and authentic.

We believe children are innately capable and competent, and we honor each child’s unique way of learning. Our job is to create the space for children to have a voice to collaborate in their learning.
