Good evening, Fletcher Middle School Families,

I hope that you and your family are having a restful weekend as we observe Memorial Day. We are thankful for all who have served and currently serve to protect our freedoms and liberty.
There is no school tomorrow. The remainder of the week will be full days on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the last day of school being Thursday. That day will be a half day with school ending at 1:15pm. Please plan accordingly for pick up.
Tuesday we will celebrate our students who exclusively made gains on their state tests in the afternoon with a popsicle party and free time the final period of the day.
Wednesday we will celebrate all students who made a 3 or better on any of their state assessments with our annual Green Party. That will be held in the afternoon of that day.

Good evening, Fletcher Middle School Families,
Testing has wrapped up and the current projections for school performance look outstanding! We now can look forward to finishing out the year with fun and celebration as a community. However, that does not mean that the rules and standards of conduct do not still apply.

In the coming weeks we will celebrate student improvement, student proficiency and much more. We will be entering the final stages in our athletics world with championship games Monday for softball and baseball. Those will be held at Paxon HS with Softball at 6pm and Baseball at 6:30pm. Best of luck to these student athletes.

Congratulations to our flag football team for making the playoffs this season. We had fun and grew together. Thank you to the parents and players for making our time together special!

Finally, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that I will be taking a position out of DCPS next year leading Global Leadership Academy High School and thus ending my time at Fletcher Middle School. I have valued, loved, and cherished every memory and experience that has been afforded me as I served the beaches community through my role at this school. Your support and energy have often carried me through tough days and your overwhelming pride in our successes has been a joy to experience. More information on next steps in finding the next school principal will be communicated by DCPS in the coming days. I look forward to celebrating with our students as we close out 2025-2026 and I wish you and everyone in the school community well.

In light of the transition in leadership, we are pushing the possible adoption of uniforms to the 27-28 school year to allow the new principal to guide that transition. Thank you all for your feedback and patience during the process.
