Homeschool students can now join Colossal Academy’s hands-on Fishing and Boating Program! 🎣

Twice each month, students spend Wednesday mornings on the water with Captain Wayne of Jax Fishing Charters. They will develop real-world skills in fishing, boating safety, navigation, tides and weather, marine conservation, fish identification, boat care, teamwork, and the charter-fishing business.

Students interested in eventually pursuing a captain’s license can also begin gaining experience and documented time on the water that may support future U.S. Coast Guard sea-service requirements.

📅 Two Wednesdays each month
⏰ 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
🗓 Enroll by the month or quarter
🎓 Step Up scholarship funds accepted
📍 Offered through Colossal Academy Jacksonville

Colossal Academy Jacksonville is heading into Year 3, and we’re thoughtfully growing our team as we continue building a small, relationship-based micro high school focused on real-world learning, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and hands-on education.

We’re currently looking to add:
• Student Success Guide
• Core Subject Tutors
• PBL Facilitator
• CTE Teacher

We’re especially looking for people who are:
• calm under pressure
• relationship-driven
• proactive and flexible
• great with older teens
• energized by building something different

Coaches, mentors, educators, entrepreneurs, tradespeople, youth leaders, and community-minded humans encouraged to apply or refer someone.

This is not about becoming bigger for the sake of growth. It’s about building the right team and support systems around the students and families already here — while continuing to expand opportunities for Year 3 and beyond.
