Since Living Word’s founding in 2001, our Board of Directors has helped guide the school’s strategic direction, supported school leadership, and planned for the school’s future. While members have changed over the years, that goal has remained the same, grounded in our shared mission: Opening God’s Word. Opening kids’ worlds.

We will be recognizing a Living Word student each month during this school year with the Living Word “T-Wolf Student of the Month” award.

The goal of this award is to recognize students who strive to live the “Living Word Way”, and recognize those students that are great examples for our student body in any/all of the following areas: Character, Behavior, Citizenship, Leadership, School Pride, and Relationships with others.

🌟 The Living Word “T-Wolf Student of the Month” for combined months of August/September is Marleigh Leonard! ⭐️

Below are the words that our staff shared in nominating her:

Marleigh has made an immediate, positive, and lasting impression on our classrooms. She is very willing to help others, and she volunteers when others are not brave enough to do so. She is intentional about being warm, kind, and approachable towards others. Marleigh is hard-working, attentive and goes out of her way to encourage others, while building up her teachers and peers. She is also very involved in an array of activities at Living Word, and is always willing to help out with lunch duty, when she sees our staff in a pinch. Marleigh is a huge blessing, and a great contributor to the culture we want to build at Living Word.

🤼 Would your child like to try wrestling?

Living Word is exploring a Youth Wrestling Program for students currently in 2nd-8th grade from all area schools! It’s a great fit for beginners and kids with limited experience.

📅 Proposed season: January–April 2027
📍 Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons at Surge Martial Arts in Germantown
👕 Estimated cost: $75, including a T-shirt
💪 Practices focused on fundamentals, confidence and fun. No meets planned this year.

Playing basketball or another winter sport? Students can attend when their schedules allow!
