What an amazing time at the Butts County Community Showcase 4th Annual Recovery Festival!

We were honored to come together with community partners, families, and local organizations to celebrate recovery, resilience, hope, and the power of community. Events like this remind us of the incredible impact we can make when we come together to support one another.

A very special congratulations to our Executive Program Director, Tee Tripp McBride, on receiving a Community Impact Award!

This recognition is a beautiful reflection of Tee’s dedication, leadership, compassion, and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children, families, and the communities we serve. We are so proud to have you represent MTECDC, Inc. and the heart of our mission!

We’re excited to invite our Butts County families to join us tomorrow for the 4th Annual All Recovery Festival — Welcome to Beautiful Butts County!

📅 Saturday, September 12, 2026

📍 1391 Highway 42 S., Flovilla, GA 30216

This is a FREE community event for all ages! Families can enjoy water slides, bounce houses, a foam machine, face painting, a cartoon artist, recovery speakers, and more!

Come out, have some fun, connect with our community, and celebrate recovery, family, and togetherness!

Our Upson County Center had a sweet time celebrating Grandparents Day with some very special guests—our amazing grandparents!

There were plenty of donuts, smiles, hugs, laughter, and special memories shared throughout the day. It was the perfect way to celebrate the love and important role grandparents play in the lives of our children and families.

Fathers Making a Difference Through Reading!

We are so excited to celebrate the amazing dads at our Henry County Early Head Start (EHS) and Head Start (HS) classrooms! Our fathers joined forces with a member of Furthering Fathers and Jumpstart to spend quality time reading with our children.

This special reading experience not only promotes a love for literacy, but also highlights the importance of fathers being actively involved in their children’s education and development. When children see their dads enjoying books and learning alongside them, it creates meaningful memories and encourages a lifelong love of reading!

We’re excited to highlight the incredible Jumpstart collaboration with Furthering Fathers, focused on promoting literacy and emphasizing the importance of reading in the classroom!

Our partnership is bringing engaging literacy experiences and positive encouragement to children and families in Butts County and Newton County, helping our little learners discover that reading can be fun, exciting, and a lifelong adventure!

What better way to wrap up the first week of school than with an After-School Celebration dedicated to our amazing teachers!

Our Spalding County team took some time to laugh, dance, fellowship, and celebrate one another after a busy and successful first week. From sharing plenty of laughs to highlighting the incredible years of service and dedication our educators have given to the children and families we serve, it was a celebration well deserved!

What an Incredible First Day in Henry County!

Our first day back at our Henry County Center was filled with smiling faces, excitement, and a wonderful start to a brand-new school year! Seeing our children walk through the doors ready to learn reminded us why we do what we do every day.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing teachers, Center Manager, family service workers, custodians, kitchen staff, office staff, and every team member who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our children had a safe, welcoming, and successful first day. Your dedication, teamwork, and commitment made all the difference.

We also want to thank our families for trusting us with your little ones. We are excited to partner with you throughout the year as we learn, grow, and celebrate many milestones together.

Upson County Families, Meet Your Center Manager – Janet Glanton!

With decades of experience in early childhood education, Janet has devoted her career to helping children, supporting families, and mentoring educators. Her passion for creating positive learning experiences and helping others grow is at the heart of everything she does.

Janet brings an impressive background to her role, including years of experience as a Head Start professional, Lead Pre-K Teacher, and Center Manager. She is also continuing her educational journey by pursuing her master’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.

What drives Janet each day is her belief that every child deserves a strong educational foundation and every family deserves a supportive community. She is passionate about making a meaningful difference and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Her personal motto reflects her heart for leadership:
“Lead with purpose, serve with compassion, and never stop learning.”
