🎉What Judge Jimmy Smith and his wife LeEllen Smith have created is beyond amazing. To take your former home and turn it into a safe, nurturing, trauma informed recovery environment for women and their children is a blessing that will impact lives for generations to come. The OUTsideIN is just that place. Watching them both speak about their dream of helping women in recovery come to fruition was inspiring and beautiful. The rain didn’t stop the ribbon cutting ceremony for a home that will see healing, love and freedom. Congratulations to Judge Smith, LeEllen Smith and their incredible staff for making everyone feel welcomed! 🎉

Today, we pause to honor the men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice so that we are able to live freely. Our country’s true heroes, let us never forget their service nor their sacrifice.

🏆 That’s a Wrap! What a Night! 🏆

Our hearts (and stomachs) are full after an unforgettable Alumni event! We had an incredible turnout with over 60 people coming together at Centennial Park to celebrate recovery, family, and fellowship.

✨ The Power of Hope: A massive thank you to Desiree Armstrong for sharing her journey. Hearing about her 10 years of sobriety and the "light of hope" was the highlight of the night. Her story is a powerful reminder of why we stay connected and keep pushing forward.

🏈 Glow-in-the-Dark Kickball: Once the sun went down, the neon came out! It was awesome seeing everyone out on the field for some glow-in-the-dark kickball. Who knew recovery could look so bright?

🤝 Service in Action: A special shout-out to the men from The Mustard Seed and our other amazing Alumni who jumped in to help clean up. Seeing you all live out the principle of service by leaving the park better than we found it was truly inspiring.

✋Final Thanks: Thank you to Bakers Bros BBQ for the delicious food that kept us fueled all night and Jackson Parks and Recreation Department for allowing us to use the grounds!

🪑 LOST & FOUND: Did you head home a little lighter? Someone forgot their lawn chair at the park! If it belongs to you, please reach out to JACOA or stop by the office to pick it up. We’ve got it safe for you!

We are counting down the days until our Alumni Kickball & BBQ! While we are praying for clear skies and home runs at Centennial Park, we want you to know the fellowship won't stop for a little rain.

📍 OUR WEATHER PLAN:

PLAN A (Sunshine): We’ll see you at Centennial Park from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM for kickball, Bakers Bros BBQ, and Desiree’s story!

PLAN B (Rain): If the weather doesn't cooperate, we will move the party indoors to the JACOA Conference Room (900 E Chester St). We will still have all that delicious BBQ and hear Desiree Armstrong share her incredible 10-year journey of hope—we'll just save the kickball game for a drier day!

No matter the weather, we are coming together to celebrate recovery, family, and the "light of hope" that Desiree speaks so passionately about. 🌟
