Our Breathitt County New Teacher Cadre recently came together for a meaningful session focused on learning, collaboration, and building confidence as educators!

Through engaging collaborative activities, our new teachers had the opportunity to become more familiar with the Danielson Framework for Teaching and explore how its components connect to effective classroom practice.

We are excited to support these educators as they grow their instructional practice, learn from one another, and continue making a positive impact on Breathitt County students!

Breathitt High School's STAR Academy is an engaging program that combines hands-on, project-based learning with collaborative activities, academic acceleration, and targeted support to help students build the skills they need for future success. If you would like your incoming 7th grader to participate in STAR Academy, please complete the Google Form on Parent Square. We look forward to welcoming our newest Bobcats!

Contracts for Classified Employees (2026–2027) are now ready to be signed at the Central Office. Please make arrangements to visit the office between June 16–19, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, to sign your contract.

❗️IMPORTANT❗️Please bring your kids with you in the car or have your blue meal card tag that was provided to you during pickup last week. If you are signing your kids up on site, we need a valid ID and proof of each child’s information such as a birth certificate, social security card, or a school record❗️It’s the second Wednesday of the summer and that means Meal Box Pickup Day for those parents who have signed up for their kids, pick up from 10AM-12PM at Sebastian Elementary School! ❗️
