Our new Teacher Cadre came together this afternoon to dive into Component 3b of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques.

We focused on strategies to move beyond simple answers and instead facilitate high-level, student-led dialogue that builds critical thinking skills. By sharing strategies to spark student-led curiosity and deeper reflections, these teachers are ensuring every classroom conversation counts.

Grateful for this amazing group of educators who are dedicated to continuous growth and instructional excellence! We love seeing our educators grow together!

Vehicle Safety on School Campuses

The safety of our students, staff, families, and visitors is a responsibility we all share. Breathitt County Schools would like to remind everyone to use extra caution anytime you are driving on one of our school campuses.

Please remember to obey school bus signals, stay off your cell phone while driving, watch carefully for students and pedestrians, and use designated drop-off and pick-up areas. Always park in designated spaces, follow posted speed limits, and pay close attention to the directions given by school staff.

Our campuses are busy places, especially during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Slow down, stay alert, be patient, and give yourself plenty of time. A few extra seconds of caution can make all the difference.

Thank you to our parents, students, staff, and community members for helping Breathitt County Schools keep safety first!
Please share this important reminder and help us keep our school campuses safe for everyone.
