Easy Grants

Every day the US Government posts new grants available for funding (there are currently 2,321 open grants as of this morning).

But which ones are right for you? Which ones sound good but you really don't stand a good chance of winning? Might there be some funding for your group, organization or business?

After my tenure at the US Department of Agriculture (where I administerd over $1 billion in federal funds), I created a self-guided mini-course on how to find the right federal government grants. Reading betweeen the lines is important.

There are grants for:

- Small businesses
- Some Individuals (not benefits like feeding programs or elderly housing, etc)
- Foreign groups outside the US

How to find the right Grants? There are thousands of government grants available every day. This course teaches you how to find the right grant for your business, your local government, your non-profit or as an individual in less than 5 minutes a day.

Nick's Pick for Grant of the Day: Grants for Kazaanjian Foundation! The Calvin K. Kazanjian Economics Foundation is a small, non-profit private foundation with limited resources. The Kazanjian Foundation makes grants of $10,000 to $25,000 on average and expects to be one of several funders of a project. The Foundation will look most favorably at programs that match grants of support with funds from other organizations learned institutions, universities, colleges, and government sources. The Kazanjian Foundation does not support projects that are based outside of the United States and will not support overhead or indirect costs.

Nick's Pick for Grant of the Day: Grants for Bank of America Charitable Foundation! Coronavirus has had a significant impact on all populations and a disproportionate impact on vulnerable populations who have experienced increased unemployment and higher levels of infection. As we emerge from this crisis, we are focused on health and economic recovery. Nick's Pick for Grant of the Day: Grants for Massage Therapy Association! Are you a current massage therapy student with a case report to share? Student Case Report submission dates have changed in order to accommodate students who graduate between June and September. Students must still submit before their graduation date, but the contest will accept applications year-round. Applications will be reviewed once per year.

Nick's Pick for Grant of the Day: Grants for Kessler Foundation! Signature Employment Grants are awarded nationally to fund new pilot initiatives, demonstration projects, or social ventures that lead to a generation of new ideas to solve the high unemployment and underemployment of individuals with disabilities. Preference is given for interventions that address the intersection of race, class, gender, disability and poverty within the framework of helping individuals with disabilities obtain competitive, integrated employment in a cost-effective manner. Signature grants are not intended to fund project expansions or bring proven projects to new communities, unless there is a significant scale, scope or replicable component.

Nick's Pick for Grant of the Day: Grants for Clif Bar Foundation! These grants support daily operating costs. Applications are reviewed three times a year; the deadlines are February 1, June 1, and October 1. Grants awarded during one cycle will be announced at the beginning of the following cycle.

Nick's Pick for Grant of the Day: Grants for Guild of Carillonneurs of North America! The Guild of Carillonneurs in North America invites applications for the Ronald Barnes Memorial Fund. To honor Barnes' extraordinary contributions to the North American carillon art, the Guild established the Memorial Fund in 1998 for individuals to pursue studies, within North America, in North American carillon performance, composition, music history or instrument design. Application for the grant is open to all North Americans. The decision of the Barnes jury is announced at the annual GCNA congress held in June each year.
