We are reposting our MSB Class of 2026 Senior Composite because the first version unintentionally altered some of our students’ portraits. Technology can be a little too smart sometimes. 😊
If you congratulated them on the first post, please take a moment to congratulate them again on the new and improved version! We are so proud of the MSB Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished.
We warmly welcome congratulatory comments and words of encouragement for our seniors. To help us keep this post focused on celebration and positivity, any unrelated or inappropriate comments will be removed.
Please join us!

Today’s professional development at the Mississippi School for the Blind was truly impactful!
A special thank you to our very own Teachers of the Visually Impaired for leading today’s sessions and pouring their knowledge back into our staff. One of the most powerful things we can do is continue “growing our own” by developing the expertise that already exists within our school community.
🔹 Dr. L. Fant – Braille 101
🔹 Ms. S. Franklin – Assistive Technology
🔹 Dr. A. Magee – Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC)
🔹 Ms. T. Johnson & Ms. M. Washington – Session Facilitators
From learning the foundations of braille to exploring assistive technology tools and the importance of the Expanded Core Curriculum, staff members were actively engaged in hands-on learning throughout the day. These sessions reflected the passion, skill, and commitment our educators bring to ensuring students who are blind or visually impaired have full access to rigorous and meaningful instruction.
Thank you again to our presenters and facilitators for your leadership, professionalism, and willingness to invest in others. MSB continues to move forward because of dedicated educators who are committed to learning, collaboration, and student success.
