Twenty-five years ago, the Union community gathered across campus as the events of Sept. 11, 2001, unfolded.
For students, faculty and staff, a day marked by fear and uncertainty became a moment to put faith into practice.
“We had no reference point,” Sarah Jane (Head) Drury (’02) remembers. But as the Union community gathered to pray and turn to Scripture, she began to reconcile her fear with the truth that God remained sovereign.
Today, Union alumni and former leaders reflect on Sept. 11, the community they experienced and the faithfulness of God through it all.
