Why use compost? Before planting, these garden beds were filled with compost created from the UC Master Gardener Compost Learning Center. Now look at them! Compost helps add nutrients to the soil, improves water retention and causes plants to flower and fruit beautifully! Check out this awesome guide to backyard composting by CalRecycle https://calrecycle.ca.gov/Organics/HomeCompost/ and join the Master Gardeners for a class. The next compost class will be held on October 24th at the C&C Ranch. Sign up to receive the Central Sierra newsletter for a reminder. https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/TMIYZ2o/UCMGCS?__cf_chl_f_tk=7l80iOporzOtey96Bmne28vboHTJe5_pvVE36jBtJEk-1782853573-1.0.1.1-.yStH3y.xa4p1RMR5AQcvacZARcM8Go2xnluiPsxj50
