What a day we had celebrating at Murrah.
We are thankful to celebrate Principal Appreciation Day! 🎉 Dr. Alonda Nicholson, the Murrah community is so grateful for your leadership. Your dedication and hard work truly make a difference every single day. Thank you for always going the extra mile for students and staff. We appreciate all your efforts.
To our awesome Cafeteria staff.
They're the real MVPs making sure Murrah gets delicious and nutritious meals. It's more than just food; it's fuel for the brains and bodies. Let's give them a huge round of applause for their hard work and dedication.
And we rounded the day by welcoming the Wells APAC dance explosion with amazing dancers and teachers from the APAC arts dance department! 🤩 Your dedication and talent truly shine through every performance. It's inspiring to see the passion you all bring to the stage, creating such beautiful and memorable moments. Keep up the incredible work!

Great job Murrah Sophomore Brooklynn Jefferson
Brooklynn Elizabeth Jefferson of Jackson served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Jefferson is pictured with Lieutenant Governor C. Delbert Hosemann Jr. and Senator Kamesha B. Mumford, who sponsored her visit. Jefferson is the daughter of Janelle and Reginald Jefferson and attends Murrah High School. When asked about the week, she said, “I absolutely love the atmosphere. All the senators and other workers have treated me with so much respect and act as if I’m an equal. The senior pages constantly make sure to keep us in the loop and locked in while making sure we have fun as well. All the pages are super nice and each and every single one of them have deemed themselves to be qualified for the job. I would 100% recommend this experience to any of my peers.”
