Today MSDH is reporting an additional 5,781 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 125 deaths for the three-day period September 3 through September 5. Seventy-six deaths occurred between July 23 and September 4, and 49 deaths occurred between August 1, 2020 and August 30, 2021 identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases is now 452,644, with 8,664 deaths.
Outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities remain high, but continue a downward trend, with 146 now ongoing.

VACCINATIONS
Vaccination against COVID-19 is free, safe and greatly reduces the risk of hospitalization and death. You can be vaccinated at any of our free sites, or at hundreds of providers statewide. Find vaccination information and locate one near you at https://msdh.ms.gov/c19vaccination

Third vaccine doses (boosters) are now available through county health departments for those who qualify. More information at https://msdh.ms.gov/boosters
