Northwest Jackson IB Middle - JPS

Northwest Jackson IB Middle School named Statewide Grand Champion of the the “2026 Math Nation’s Test Yourself Challenge.”

Northwest stood above the other schools by combining high student participation with strong overall performance, demonstrating what full implementation and student engagement can achieve. Special shout-out to Syasia Keyes, Colin Palmer, and Maleah Mallard who were named Grand Champions for our school. Our Wolverines showed up, stayed engaged, and competed at a high level.

Also, Mississippi officially claimed the 2026 Peach–Magnolia State Showdown Championship, defeating Georgia in this year’s Math Nation Test Yourself Challenge! According to the final scoreboard, Mississippi secured the victory with a 68–62 win, earning the title of 2026 Peach–Magnolia Champion. This win represents the collective effort of schools across the state.

Congratulations to the outstanding 8th grade scholars of Northwest Jackson IB Middle School on your promotion! Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have brought you to this exciting milestone, and you should be incredibly proud of all you’ve achieved.
