Our ninth grade History of Art and Music (HAM) students recently took their studies beyond the classroom with a visit to Dunbar Cave State Park, where they encountered prehistoric Native American cave art firsthand.
Now in its fourth year, HAM invites students to explore how art and music across the centuries reflect the good, the true, and the beautiful. Experiences like this help students see that the human impulse to create, communicate, and pursue beauty stretches across cultures and generations—and ultimately points us back to God, the Creator.

Our school chickens are back! 🐔

We are so thankful to Benjamin and Ky Bailey, grandfather and father of students Calvin, Cooper, and Georgia, for building this beautiful coop from scratch over the summer to give our chickens a sturdier, more secure home on campus. We’re also grateful to the Burleson family for painting it and installing hardware cloth, making the coop even more secure and helping protect it from raccoons.

These chickens provide enrichment (and lots of joy!) to our Lower School science program—they also provide us with lots of eggs, and we’re thankful for those too! 🥚

For our upcoming 25th Celebration, we’re creating an exhibit of Augustine memories!
Currently, we are looking to borrow vintage uniforms (with the original Augustine School: Nullus Intellectus Sine Cruce logo), vintage SpiritWear (only items in excellent condition and no longer available), and other meaningful Augustine objects or memorabilia (related to academics, sports, traditions, the arts, special events, etc.)—no photos or paper items are needed. All items will be labeled and returned after the event.

As we begin a new school year, we want to be intentional about praying for our students, faculty, leaders, and families. We hope you’ve received an Augustine prayer bookmark with prompts to help guide your prayers throughout the year. (If not, we have plenty in the school lobby!) Tuck it somewhere visible and join us in praying faithfully for our school community.
