A federal judge in Massachusetts has ordered the Trump administration to reinstall displays it removed from National Parks sites over the past year as part of a crackdown on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) content and climate change information.

Four Black-owned construction companies played a key role in bringing the Obama Presidential Center to life on Chicago’s South Side.

Through a partnership with Lakeside Alliance, the firms helped build the 19.3-acre campus, which is set to open on Juneteenth and serve as a hub for education, community engagement, and public programming.

The project also reflects a commitment to creating opportunities for diverse businesses while investing in the local community.

Join us for a free screening of “Caravan of Hope” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, at the Two Mississippi Museums. This 60-minute documentary uses archival footage, photographs, and interviews to show how WDIA, the first Black-programmed radio station in the United States, raised the funds to revive the town of Mound Bayou. Following the screening, a panel conversation will feature directors Castel Sweet and Antonio Tarrell, with moderator Nina Parikh of Film Mississippi. This event is in partnership with the Mississippi Humanities Council, Mississippi Film Society, and the Mississippi Film Society.
