Mrs. James’ class got hands-on with history as they made clay tablets and pottery while studying Early Civilizations! 🏺
Both fifth-grade classes also took part in an exciting archaeology dig! Students uncovered jewels, beads, bones, animal remains, tools, and other artifacts from long ago.🔎🦴🏺

Today we kicked off our monthly grade-level Masses! Our 6th graders were the first class to celebrate Mass together as a grade. We enjoyed having so many students and their families attend!✝️

We are also continuing our partnership with the Christ Child Society. This week, our students were given various baby items and invited to write a prayer for the precious baby who will receive each item in their backpack. Our students were so sincere and loving as they prayed over each item, remembering the mother who is carrying God’s precious child and the baby that the items are for. What a beautiful way to put our faith into action and remind our students of the dignity and preciousness of every life. 💕

This week 5th Grade learned that early civilizations developed skills such as writing and pottery making. They were able to create their own pottery and clay tablets with markings to represent their products.

The Jackson Symphony Orchestra came and talked to the fourth and fifth graders about the string team. They are offering violin lessons free again this year to all students who would like to learn how to play the violin. They are having an open house on Wednesday, September 23 from 6 to 7:30 PM. The students took home a flyer with information about joining the String team. 🎻🎶
