The Nurse Anesthesia Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing is pending accreditation by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA). No students may be enrolled in the program until initial accreditation is received. The anticipated start date is August 2026, pending COA accreditation approval.

The new UMMC School of Nursing is steadily rising on campus and is set to open for classes in 2027. Designed to support growing enrollment and modern nursing education, the space will feature advanced simulation labs and collaborative learning areas.
