Congratulations to Casey Elementary School for being named a Model Whole School by the Mississippi Arts Commission. For this honor, the school will receive a $9,000 grant to support its investment in arts integration into the school’s curriculum.

"This achievement is an indication of the hard work and efforts of the faculty, students, parents, and community partners," said Dr. Anthony Moore, former principal of Casey Elementary. "Once again, the school has been recognized for its commitment to innovative teaching practices utilizing the arts."

Casey still remains a place where "The Arts Make Us Smart." Additional funding of $4,000 will also be provided to support staff and professional development.
