THRILLER on Themis 2 β Participant Guidelines
Weβre excited youβre interested in joining THRILLER on Themis 2! This community performance takes teamwork, dedication, and commitment, so please read the following guidelines before signing up.

Key Dates
π§ Aug. 2 & 3 β Dance Trials (Required)
7:00 PM both evenings. Attendance on both nights is required.
π§ Aug. 9 β First rehearsal with the selected cast
π§ Every Sunday at 7:00 PM β Weekly rehearsals
π§ Oct. 29 β THRILLER on Themis 2 Performance

π§ Dance Trials (Required)
Held at Kellerman Lorimier Hall, 401 Independence, Cape
Rather than holding formal auditions, we will host Dance Trials to finalize this yearβs performance team.

Sunday, August 2 & Monday, August 3
π 7:00 PM each evening
β οΈ Attendance on BOTH nights is required.
These sessions allow us to evaluate how participants learn choreography, perform with the group, and work as part of a team.
Please do not sign up unless you can commit to the rehearsal schedule. Every participant plays an important role, and the choreography depends on everyone being prepared.
Participation in Dance Trials does not guarantee selection. VintageNOW Productions reserves the right to make final casting decisions.

π§ Rehearsals
Every Sunday at 7:00 PM
Location:
π Kellerman Lorimier Hall Lot, 401 Independence (weather permitting)
π Evangelical Church, 33 S. Ellis St. (if weather requires us to move indoors)
To keep the performance looking its best:
β’ Please do not miss more than three rehearsals.
β’ Attendance at the final dress rehearsal (Oct. 25th is mandatory for ALL in Thriller and Pre-show.
β’ Excessive absences may result in removal from the performance.

π§ Age Requirements
β’ Participants should be 16 years of age or older.
β’ Younger participants are welcome only if a parent or guardian is also dancing in THRILLER on Themis 2.
β’The Selected Pre-show Participants (no age limit) will have the option to perform as the opening acts only and are NOT part of the Thriller performance. Dancers age 16 and older may audition for Thriller. However, if cast in Thriller, you cannot also perform in your studio's opening act β you may do one or the other, not both.

π§ Costumes & Makeup
β’ Participants are responsible for providing their own zombie costume.
β’ Costume inspiration and guidelines will be shared before rehearsals begin.
β’ Participants should be willing to wear zombie makeup that fits the overall look of the production.

π§ Performance Expectations
Participants are expected to:
βοΈ Arrive on time and ready to rehearse.
βοΈ Be respectful of fellow dancers, instructors, volunteers, and venue hosts.
βοΈ Practice choreography between rehearsals as needed.
βοΈ Attend the performance and arrive by the assigned call time.
βοΈ Understand that photos and videos taken during rehearsals and the performance may be used by VintageNOW Productions for promotional purposes.

THRILLER on Themis 2 is a volunteer community production presented by VintageNOW Productions. There is no participation fee. We simply ask for your commitment, enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to give your best effort.
Together, weβll create an unforgettable Halloween experience and continue one of Cape Girardeauβs most anticipated Halloween traditions.
