What a school year! The Montessori staff are so thankful for an amazing year and we couldn't have done it without our students and families. We can't wait for next year!

Yesterday our Staff Spirit Day was "represent your school"! We got to celebrate all of the different schools each staff member went to/worked at before making their way to JPS!

Let's wish Leo good luck as he travels to GVSU tomorrow to compete in the MHSAA State Golf Tournament!

We celebrated our amazing kindergartners on Tuesday! These kiddos have learned so much and have worked so hard all year, we are so immensely proud of them.
Thank you to Mrs. Choat and Mrs. Fairbanks for encouraging and guiding them all year long.
We loved having so many family members come to congratulate their students and are so thankful for the support they have given them and their teachers this school year!

🧡🖤 🎉 Jackson High School is turning 100! 🎉 🧡🖤
We’re inviting our community to help make this milestone unforgettable.
Beginning in January 2027, we will celebrate a full year of Viking pride, honoring Jackson High School’s history from its opening in September 1927 through today. With the theme “Once a Viking, Always a Viking,” this Centennial celebration will highlight the people, traditions, and stories that make JHS so special.
We are forming a Centennial Committee and would love for community members to join us. There will be opportunities to serve on or chair subcommittees based on your interests, including athletics, arts, alumni engagement, academics, media, history, scholarships, and more.
📅 Kickoff Meeting: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
🕠 Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
🍽 Light dinner and refreshments will be served
📍 Location: JHS Media Center
We have an exciting year planned, including monthly celebrations featuring each decade, alumni events, music and arts showcases, athletics recognition, and a community-wide rededication. A few special events will even take place before 2027 begins.
This is a wonderful chance to help tell the story of JHS, reconnect generations of Vikings, and celebrate 100 years of tradition, excellence, and community.

🗓️ School is almost out for the summer, but healthy meals are still on the menu!
Jackson Public Schools is proud to offer FREE summer meals for all children 18 years of age and younger through our Meet Up & Eat Up program. This is a great opportunity for children in our community to enjoy nutritious breakfasts and lunches throughout the summer at designated meal sites.
