๐ฐ๐ฎ Itโs almost fair time! ๐๐ท
Starting Sunday, nearly 30 JACC/FFA students will take the ring at the Jackson County Fair, showing rabbits, beef and dairy steers, sheep and swine. Join us in cheering them on all week long!
๐ Weโre also proud to share this spotlight on former JACC student Seth Swankโway to keep learning, growing and taking on new challenges!
๐ Meet Seth Swank! ๐
Seth is an 18-year-old exhibitor with the JACC FFA Chapter who shows swine, beef, and sheep at the Jackson County Fair.
One of Seth's proudest moments this year came from trying something new. At the Michigan Livestock Expo, he competed in sheep showmanship for the first time and placed 7th in his class. It was a reminder that success isn't always about winningโit's about having the confidence to take on new challenges and continue learning.
We're proud to celebrate the young people who make the Jackson County Fair such a special place. ๐

๐๐ SECOND IN THE NATION! ๐๐
๐ฅ Congratulations to Sarah D. from Northwest Community Schools and homeschool student Cyleigh Anne Y., who earned an INCREDIBLE 2ND-PLACE finish in the SkillsUSA National EMT Competition in Atlanta last week!
๐ After winning at the state level, Sarah and Cyleigh competed against the nation's best EMT students in a grueling competition that tested their emergency medical knowledge, patient care skills, critical thinking, and ability to perform under pressure. Following an exhausting 12-hour preliminary round, they advanced to the finals and ultimately finished as the No. 2 EMT team in the country!
๐คฉ Their dedication, teamwork, and perseverance paid off in a huge way, and we couldn't be more proud of how they represented the Jackson Area Career Center on the national stage.
๐ Congratulations, Sarah and Cyleigh! Jackson Area Career Center Firefighting/EMS Academy
