🧪🌊 MOLECULAR MONDAY #001 🌊🧪

Meet the H-O(ctopi) Family! 🐙

Every environment tells a different story.

As the pH changes, our favorite aquatic family transforms:

🦑 Squid⁺ — Hydronium (H₃O⁺)
🐙 H-O(ctopi) — Water (H₂O)
🐙 Kraken⁻ — Hydroxide (OH⁻)

Same family. Different environment.

With Molecular Farm, my goal is to make chemistry something you can see, not just memorize. Every character is built around real molecular structures, reactions, and chemical behavior—turning abstract formulas into memorable species.

✏️ Swipe to see one of the original notebook sketches that became the H-O(ctopi) family. Every Molecular Farm species starts as a simple doodle before becoming part of the growing Chemical Period.

🌾 Grow Your Chemistry.
👀 Learn it. See it. Remember it.

👇 Now I need your help! Which Molecular Farm family should I build next?

🦉 Oxygen Owl Family (O, O₂, O₃)
🐄 Manganate Cow Family
🐔 Methane Chicken Family
🐷 Hydrogen-Phosphate Pig Family
🦈 Sulfuric Shark Family
🐠 H-ClO(wn) Fish Family

Or suggest your own! The best ideas may become part of the official Chemical Period.

🎶📐 What do a rubber band, music, and mathematics have in common?

During a tutoring session, a simple rubber band turned into a conversation about Pythagoras, music, and the idea of the Harmony of the Spheres.

One of my favorite things about teaching is showing students that mathematics isn’t just a collection of formulas—it’s a language for describing patterns all around us.

As Pythagoras believed, harmony can be found in more than just music.

The ratio between the math and the music is the same.

Math : Music :: ➕ : 🎵

Sometimes all it takes is a rubber band to make that connection.

🎓❤️ Some students become more than just students.

Today wasn’t just about celebrating a graduation—it was about celebrating a journey.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Jeorjia since she was 13 years old, and I even had the opportunity to work with her sister for a while as well. It’s been such a privilege to watch their family grow and to be there for so many milestones over the years.

Jeorjia and I have shared countless tutoring sessions, plenty of laughs, and more inside jokes than I can remember. We went from “Susan to Voldemort,” from algebra to statistics, and somehow made it through the uncertainty of COVID together. Through it all, she never stopped working toward her goals.

Watching her grow—not just as a student, but as a confident, kind, and determined young woman—has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

Now she’s beginning an exciting new chapter at Western Michigan University, and I couldn’t be more proud of everything she’s accomplished.

Thank you for trusting me to be a small part of your journey all these years. It’s students like you who remind me why I love what I do.

Congratulations again, Jeorjia. I know you’ll do amazing things at Western, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

🧙‍♀️📖 Can the shape of a story help reveal what’s coming next?

While watching Wicked Part II, something unexpected happened.

Instead of simply following the plot, I began noticing mirrored character journeys, narrative foils, and recurring patterns that seemed to point toward later transformations.

The more I looked, the more connections appeared.

That inspired today’s video, where I share some of those observations and introduce a few ideas from my Mythopoetic Diagrams project.

Whether you agree with every interpretation or not, I hope it gives you a new way to think about stories you already love.

🌮🧬 Can a Taco Explain Biology? Apparently… yes. 😂

During a tutoring session, my student described a semipermeable membrane using a taco… and honestly, it was such a good analogy that I had to share it.

Then, of course, we somehow ended up making a Taco Bell joke. 🌮😂

These are the moments I love most about teaching. When students connect new ideas to things they already understand, learning becomes memorable—and a lot more fun.

Sometimes the best explanations don’t come from a textbook… they come from tacos. 😄

Teaching Inequalities… Then the Italian Joker Appeared 😂🤌

😂📚 The best tutoring moments are never planned.

We were working through inequalities when I noticed my student had a little sauce in the corners of his mouth…

So I had to ask:

🃏 “Do you wanna know how I got this sauce?” 🤌🍝

Needless to say… we both lost it. 😂

One of my favorite parts of teaching is that learning doesn’t have to be serious every second. Sometimes a quick laugh is all it takes to make a lesson memorable and keep the momentum going.

⚛️😂 Can a terrible joke teach particle physics?

Sometimes the most ridiculous ideas are the most memorable.

Today we’re using one simple piece of wordplay to introduce Supersymmetry (SUSY) and the hypothetical “superpartners” of the Standard Model.

Learning doesn’t have to be boring. Sometimes all it takes is a joke to make a difficult concept stick.

⚛️ Introducing the Sentence Standard Model™ ✏️

At PAT Tutoring, we’ve always believed that learning shouldn’t stop at memorizing rules—it should begin with understanding why those rules exist.

Over the past year, we’ve been developing a new visual framework inspired by the architecture of modern particle physics, exploring syntax, semantics, and meaning through interactions, transformations, and first principles.

This is just the beginning.

Our first cinematic teaser for the Sentence Standard Model™ is now live! If you’d like to see where this journey is headed, head over to our TikTok () and let us know what you think.

Whether you’re interested in language, mathematics, science, philosophy, or simply enjoy seeing difficult ideas made approachable, we’d love to have you along for the ride.

🎒✨ What an incredible day at the Back to School Blast! ✨🎒

We had an amazing time meeting so many students, parents, and families as everyone gets ready for another school year. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, grabbed some candy, picked up school supplies, and took the time to chat with us!

It was especially fun sharing the day with Fine Detail Jackson—if your vehicle needs a refresh, be sure to check out their professional mobile interior and exterior detailing services. 🚗✨

A huge thank you goes to my amazing fiancée and our daughter for helping make the day such a success. ❤️ Family is at the heart of everything we do, and it was special having them there beside us.

At PAT Tutoring, we believe every student deserves to understand—not just memorize. Whether it’s Math, Science, Reading, Writing, or Test Prep, we’re excited to help students build confidence and have their best school year yet.

Thank you, Jackson, for supporting local businesses. We can’t wait to work with many of you this year!
