The BCSS Facebook Announcements Page and all the BCSS School Facebook Announcement Pages are intended as a tool for BCSS and its schools to share and market news, updates, and announcements with students, parents, and community members regarding the initiatives of Butts County School System. They have never been and are not now intended as an online public discussion board or primary customer serv
ice tool for the operations and service of the Butts County School System for our stakeholders. Rather, if you have needs, concerns, or questions about the services or operations of BCSS or any school in BCSS, please use our official website at http://www.butts.k12.ga.us to obtain contact information (phone and/or email) of any teacher, administrator, or board member so that we can take care of your needs. The BCSS Facebook Announcements Page and its school pages, on the other hand, are primarily an announcement and update/news sharing tool for the school system and are not set up to be the official customer service mechanism of our organization for community members and constituents. Please note that we are not always able to check messages sent via Private Message to pages administered by BCSS, but we do check our email daily. To receive customer service for specific inquiries/needs or if you have specific questions or concerns, you can instead contact the school/office or individual employee/administrator you need by phone or email, and you will receive individual support. You can find contact information for our employees and members of the Board of Education at http://www.butts.k12.ga.us, or you can call the BCSS Central Office at 770-504-2300 for guidance and support. Community members are welcome to make comments or tags to specific posts on the BCSS announcements pages, but those comments will be limited to your personal Facebook "friends" and can be enjoyed by you through your own Facebook account or by the Facebook “friends” attached to your Facebook account. Comments are automatically filtered by our use of the Facebook software filter mechanism 24 hours per day to collect and limit most substantive commentary for consumption only by you and your Facebook friends. This is generally an automated process, but we do review comments periodically to make sure that they are not visible on the public page in conformance with these Guidelines. BCSS would ask that even in your personal comments you model good digital citizenship by avoiding profanity, vulgarity and threatening or disparaging language directed at individuals, especially students or staff of BCSS. We cannot guarantee that we will monitor every comment or answer private Facebook messages. If you ever witness what you believe to be inappropriate content on one of our pages, please contact the BCSS Central Office. (Updated 2/7/19)
